Boost your health

The overwhelming flow of information about nutrition and supplements can make it quite difficult to know where to start when it comes to improving our overall health and well-being. The amount of information online to boost your health is therefore enormous. Fortunately, there is a path to a healthier and more energetic life. And that starts with some personal guidance.

Persistent health complaints

Do you regularly experience health complaints, or perhaps you continuously suffer from them, consciously or unconsciously? Consider:

  1. Digestive problems;
  2. Mood swings;
  3. Constipation/diarrhea;
  4. Persistent headaches;
  5. Recurrent sinusitis;
  6. Persistent colds;
  7. Recurrent throat and/or ear infections.

Know that these are all signals to recognize that there is an imbalance in your body. This can be caused, for example, by (unconscious) stress, an unhealthy work/private environment, applying the wrong or insufficient nutrients, or a life where you wear multiple hats that demand a lot from you.

Boost your health

Boost your health

Fortunately, there is always a path to a healthy and energetic life. In addition to the importance of personal guidance and advice, there are also a number of tips that you can apply yourself to give your health a boost. Without immediately needing to have orthomolecular knowledge:

  1. Listen to your body:
    Do you ever pause to listen to your body's signals? If you're tired, rest. It's also okay to take a few days off and do nothing. If you crave a healthy snack, go for it. Even if you crave a piece of dark chocolate. ;)
  2. Eat when your body asks for it:
    Do you eat at set times because you're used to it? Are you actually hungry then? Notice what your body does after you've had your breakfast. Does it feel good or do you notice discomfort in your body? By being aware of what your body reacts to, you can also adjust your diet to what feels good. Not only during eating, but also after eating.
  3. Prioritize sleep:
    When your health is a bit poorer, your body needs energy to recover. Your body recovers itself through a good night's sleep. Magnesium is often mentioned in connection with relaxation and energy metabolism. Magnesium Malate is often chosen to support energy levels, while Magnesium Taurate and Magnesium Bisglycinate are popular for mental relaxation.
  4. Eat nutrient-rich foods:
    Purely natural and whole foods. Choose grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and lean proteins to nourish your body.
  5. Exercise in nature:
    Nothing is as nice and relaxing as nature. We humans are made to live in nature. Spending whole days indoors is not conducive to our health. Especially when you are not feeling well: take a walk outside in a forest or park every day. Are you very tired? Then build up your walk, start with 15 minutes and then build up to 1 hour.
  6. Consider additional supplements:
    Especially when your vitamin levels are too low, it can be valuable to consider additional supplements to support your well-being. Our orthomolecular therapists are happy to advise you.

An extra boost

Remember that the above tips are always the first tips we will give you when it comes to your health. Do you still want to give yourself a boost because, for example, you continue to have persistent cold symptoms, have vitamin deficiencies, or are you flu-like and absolutely must give that presentation at the office next week? Then we have the following tip for you:

  • Vitamin C boost: do you know this one yet? Vitamin C supports a good immune system. We recommend: take 2 vitamin C tablets 3 times a day for 6 days, then 2 per day.
  • Vitamin D: Vitamin D supports the body's defense, the immune system, and helps the natural immune system of body cells. Especially when you spend a lot of time indoors and don't get much sunlight, this is a good supplement to use.
  • Magnesium: Magnesium is also a good option, it is good for muscle function, helps to reduce fatigue, and contributes to more energy.
